Adverbial particle that, joined to another part of sentence, expresses time or doubt.
When word to which it joins ends in vowel, an n is prepended (except in diphthongs ending in i).
As adverbial of time, equals then, afterwards, e.g.: ennác agluálo quet ⊗ ctó umáy, I go pray and afterwards will come; manğánca pay láenğ, ⊗ canto mapán, eat first, then go.
As adverbial of doubt, signifies apparently, what will it be, e.g.: cayanantí agtúdu, parece que quiere llover; oen ⊗, así parece; ¡asin ⊗ daydi! ¿quién será aquel?; si Pedro ⊗, parece que es Pedro; ¿anian ⊗ ti cayátna? ¿qué querrá? ¿anian ⊗ ti aramiden daguidiáy? ¿qué estarán haciendo aquellos?
Also equals although, despite, e.g.: binatdaca, ⊗ ca mapán manén? te pegaron y no obstante, ¿aún vuelves?
